Fee Structure
Registration fee for Delegates includes: Attendance at scientific programme, delegate bag, presentation abstracts (on searchable CD), refreshments in tea/coffee breaks, Welcome Reception.
Registration fee for Accompanying Guests includes: Welcome Reception, both poster sessions, option to book an Accompanying Guest Tour, option to participate in the social programme and purchase tickets.
Delegate sponsorship: The Executive Committee been successful in raising funds to support some delegates from lower income, primate source countries to attend IPS 2008. Go to Congress Bursaries.

* VAT (Value Added Tax) is a tax on consumer expenditure. It is collected on business transactions, imports and acquisitions.
VAT is reclaimable by many overseas delegates and by those whose fees are paid by a certain registered charities and VAT registered organisations.
You will have to pay UK VAT (17.5%) on most goods and services you purchase. Claims for repayment of VAT can be made by overseas businesses by requesting the appropriate forms from HM Customs & Excise, VAT Overseas Repayments Unit, Customs House, PO Box 34, Londonderry, BT48 7AE, Northern Ireland. Web Site www.hmrc.gov.uk . If the claim is by a business established in EU countries other than the UK , request form VAT 65. If the claim is by a business established in non-EU countries, request form VAT 65a. NB. You will need to retain your VAT receipt that indicates how much VAT was paid.

Delegate Category Definitions
Regular IPS Member - A Regular Member of IPS in good standing both at the time of registration and at the time of the Congress.
Range Country IPS Member - A Member of IPS in good standing both at the time of registration and at the time of the Congress who is a national of a primate range country. The countries whose nationals qualify for discounted registration are defined by IPS
Council and include all of the countries of South and Central America, all of the countries of Africa, and all of the countries of Asia where non human primates occur in the wild, EXCEPT for Japan. IPS members from Japan pay the same as Regular IPS Members.
Student IPS Member - A Student Member of IPS in good standing both at the time of registration and at the time of the Congress.
Accompanying Guest - A person (e.g. partner or spouse) accompanying a registered delegate of the IPS 2008 Congress. Please note: Accompanying Guests are not entitled to attend any part of the scientific programme of IPS 2008 except the Opening Ceremony and the Poster Receptions. Accompanying persons who wish to attend other sessions of the scientific programme will be expected to register as full delegates. [BACK TO TOP]
Student status - Please fax proof of your student status (copy of student card or letter from supervisor on university/college letterhead) to qualify for the student fee. [BACK TO TOP]
Cancellation Policy - All cancellations must be sent in writing or e-mailed to the Congress Secretariat. Cancellations received by 4th February 2008: an administration fee of £50 will be deducted from any refund issued. Cancellations received after 4th February 2008: No refunds will be issued, though partial refunds may be offered in extraordinary circumstances.
